Michael has been a District Leader in Bedford since 2006. He joined the committee during the first
campaign of Congressman John Hall, and took on further responsibility at the encouragement of the late
George Delaney. A composer and music educator in Rockland County, Michael volunteers at Bedford Hills
Correctional Facility for Women, teaching music and theater programs. He believes that a responsible
government can, and should, play an active role in serving the entire community. He lives in Katonah
with his wife Phyllis, also a District Leader. |

A Bedford resident since 2000, Jennifer has been active in several local not-for-profit and Bedford Central school organizations.
Jennifer became a district leader in 2024. She is an attorney and lives in Bedford’s Election District 9 with her husband and two children.

Brett Kimmel, Secretary![]() |
Brett is an attorney specializing in Matrimonial Law.
A graduate of George Washington University, he earned his JD
from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1993.
Brett volunteered to serve as BDC secretary in 2021.

Mary Frei, Treasurer![]() |
An RN with a Masters in Public Health, Mary worked at Northern Westchester for the Arts (NWCA) for over a decade and developed an arts-in-education program that served 250+ children and adults both in segregated and supported inclusion settings.
She left NWCA for the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities(OPWDD) where she directed nursing services for Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties.
She has lobbied in Washington for disability services, specifically services that improve educational opportunities for our youth.
Mary has been a resident of Bedford Hills for over 25 years, with a history of political involvement, having served as a DL and on many committees. In 2021 she volunteered to handle the BDC Treasurers job (which we welcomed with enthusiasm!) Mary is the mother of three wonderful young(ish) men. |
Ted Nygreen, Webmaster![]() |
Ted had been a district leader in White Plains until retiring to Bedford in 2013.
Professionally, Ted is a computer scientist with a 35-year business career, serving in C-level
and Chief Technology Officer positions for international companies.
Ted has a Bachelors degree from MIT and Ph.D. from Princeton University.
In 2024, he moved to Jackson, NH, with his wife Nancy; they have three children and seven grandchildren.
