Stephanie McCaine
Bedford Town Council Member-Elect

Stephanie McCaine is a third-generation Town of Bedford resident who works in administration at her alma mater, the Harvey School in Katonah, and lives in her childhood home with her family. She has served Bedford on multiple community boards and in a range of volunteer activities.

Stephanie was appointed to the Bedford Town Board in January 2021 to fill an unexpired term. In November, she was re-elected to the board for a full term commencing January 1, 2022. Stephanie has been thrilled to be serving her hometown in this capacity and is looking forward to continuing her work on the council to help build a better Bedford for all.

After attending Skidmore College where she earned a B.A. in Psychology, she attended graduate school for music therapy in Philadelphia.

Following a short career as a music therapist, Stephanie has dedicated most of her professional life to school administration. As a highly regarded admissions/enrollment professional and change agent, she has led ambitious and successful student recruitment and enrollment initiatives at numerous colleges in New England and the mid-Atlantic region; served as Director of Admissions at SUNY Purchase for a decade; was a leader in the founding of a charter school; and is currently working in admissions and leading the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives at her alma mater, the Harvey School.

Stephanie has served in a wide variety of roles with numerous local non-profit and community-based organizations and boards. She has been a Youth Soccer Coach, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Bedford Community Theatre volunteer and board chair, Westchester Youth Alliance board member, Westmoreland Sanctuary Advisory board member, and Bedford Democratic District Leader.

Although it sounds as if Stephanie has little free time, she admits "I like indoor cycling, knitting, reading, baking, and live music."
